Valerie Harper to Join ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ Report Says

Valerie Harper, the actress who appeared on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and who recently revealed she is battling brain cancer, will join “Dancing with the Stars,” according to a report.

TMZ reported that Harper, 74, will join the show along with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Leah Remini.

Earlier this year, Harper announced she had terminal brain cancer and doctors gave her until June to live.

She has leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, a rare type of cancer.

TMZ said that Harper and her partner Tristan have been practicing for the past two days for the upcoming “Dancing” season.

Harper also is filming the TV movie for the UP cable channel called “The Town That Came A-Courtin’,” according to Fox News.

I, for one, don’t believe a word about this “brain cancer” that Harper allegedly has. I think that she is using this story as a way of extending her career. She was an overrated “B List” actress to begin with, and as she gets older and older, her acting abilities become even worse.

Six month’s from now, I can envision this “headline”: IT’S A MIRACLE – VALERIE HARPER IS CANCER-FREE!

This whole story is just plain crap. Shame on you, Valerie Harper.
