James DiMaggio, accused of kidnapping two children from a woman he may have killed, was driving a blue sedan and is possibly headed to Texas or Canada.
DiMaggio, a 40-year-old white male standing at 5-feet, 9 inches, is believed to have taken two children from the city of Boulevard in San Diego County in California on Monday.
The two children are:
Hannah Anderson, described by the California Highway Patrol as a 16-year-old, white, female, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 115 pound, juvenile with blonde hair, and blue eyes. Hannah has a belly button ring, nose stud and pierced ears.
Ethan Anderson, described by the California Highway Patrol as a 8-year-old, white, male, 4 feet 11 inches tall, 65 pound, juvenile with sandy blonde hair.
DiMaggio, the suspect, weighs about 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
“This amber alert has been upgraded to a statewide amber alert,” says the patrol. “The suspect is now believed to be traveling to either Texas or Canada.” The amber alert was sent out through text messaging in the early morning August 6.
The blue sedan DiMaggio is believed to be driving is a 4-door Versa, with a California license plate reading 6WCU986.
DiMaggio is suspected in the killing of Christina Anderson, 44, who was one of two people found dead by authorities sent to extinguish the fire Sunday night.
