Taylor Swift fan arrest: A 22-year old fan from Chicago tried to swim to a beach near the mansion Swift recently purchased in Rhode Island.

““He was walking near her house and was arrested for trespassing,” Westerly police Captain Shawn Lacey told the Boston Globe.

The man, Lucas Vorsteveld, was walking on a private road but told police he was “just out for a walk.”

Lacey wouldn’t comment on the reports that Vorsteveld swam to shore before walking around.

“I don’t know if he was soaking wet or not,” he said.

TMZ, citing a police source, says the man was arrested around 2 a.m., after admitting to swimming up to the beach in front of Swift’s home.

He was back in the water; he told police that he was planning to swim back after he saw Swift’s security team.

“There is a zero tolerance policy for trespassers,” said a police officer with the Westerly Police Department.
