David Schwimmer might need a hug from a friend after this one.
Schwimmer made a May 26 appearance on the “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” where he participated in the newly titled segment, Drop the Mic” and it didn’t fair too well for the actor.
“Millennials, let me introduce you to this guy/his name is David, he was famous in ’95,” says Corden in the first round of battle. “He was on TV then/now its 2016 and he has no friends.”
David Schwimmer played Ross on the popular television series, “Friends.”
Corden continues, “He was a Kardashian on TV but that was only pretend/You played Robert that was a great combo/But you were so white you should have played the Bronco.”
An expressionless Schwimmer stares at Corden as he finishes his rhymes.
It’s now Schwimmer’s turn, who uses his rap lyrics to denounce the funnyman’s popularity—or lack thereof and weight.
“A Brit in America’s your one claim to fame/We all know as an actor your roles were the same,” Schwimmer says. “The heavy best friend/the humorous sidekick with a belly so big you can’t find your own—/Dickens, the author we all read as kids, he’s British like you/But people know who he is.”
He goes on to say, “To be clear, I love the English, I married your kind/But why your wife chose you, my bad, she blind?”
And if the 49-year-old actor thought Corden would now play friendly, he was sadly mistaken. Corden went on to attack his failures.
“Come on David Schwimmer, how are you such a loser when your name rhymes with winner? You’re so well known that every role that you play, I’m like, ‘Hey, I didn’t know Ross from ‘Friends’ knew O.J.’!” he shoots back. “I’m sorry this battle left you so blue/but unlike this crowd—’I’ll be there for you.'”
Yet that wasn’t even the brunt of it. Actress Rebel Wilson made a surprise appearance on stage, where she attacked both actors.
“David your career its a huge mistake/Like Ross and Rachel its on a break,” she raps to Schwimmer. “All jokes aside, I think you’re great/I’m your biggest fan, when I was eight.”
Corden was on the receiving end as well.
“Carpool Karaoke, you think its your big thing/but everyone is thinking ‘shut up and let Adele sing!'” Wilson screams to Corden.
When the dust settles, Wilson is crowned the winner.
