When Chris Hemsworth isn’t surprising fans and doling out cash to an honest teenager, he is a doting dad to his three children with wife, Elsa Pataky.
The family were celebrating daughter, India’s birthday on Saturday, May 7, when they faced a dilemma—their favorite bakery was unavailable to bake a cake for India. So what does the man who moonlights as Thor do?
Bakes the cake himself.
“What happens when the bakery says they don’t have time to make your daughter a birthday cake?” the 32-year-old actor captioned a photo uploaded to Instagram. “You get involved and smash one out yourself! I call it ‘La TRex al la chocolate.'”
The finished product was a dinosaur cake decorated with green sprinkles and what appeared to be pink, brown and green M&Ms.
Pataky also documented the actor’s hidden talent on her Instagram page.
“Papa working hard on India’s birthday cake!” Pataky wrote in both English and Spanish alongside the pic showcasing Hemsworth’s baking skills. “Happy birthday India, love you more than anything! #family #love #birthdaygirl.”
Hemsworth isn’t the only celebrity dad to take matters into his own hands and take on a d.i.y experiment. Retired soccer star David Beckham apparently sews clothes for 5-year-old daughter’s dolls.
“Harper has daddy stitching her dollies dresses!!! We love you @davidbeckham,” read the caption of the photo uploaded to Instagram by wife, Victoria Beckham.
