Well, his heart was in the right place anyway.
Former boxing heavyweight champion Mike Tyson reportedly tweeted “Congrats to #UniversityofCinncinati #WomensBasketballteam for national championship win,” in a now-deleted tweet.

Unfortunately for Tyson, it was actually UConn (that’s Connecticut) that beat Syracuse 82–51 Tuesday night for the women’s basketball championship. Meanwhile, “Cinncinati” is spelled Cincinnati.
Incidentally, the woeful Cincinnati Bearcats women’s team went just 8–22 this season, while mighty UConn rolled to a 38–0 record in winning their fourth straight national title.

It’s not the first time Tyson has mixed up his words, making for a great quote.
Maybe his most famous line ever was when, after an eight-round beating courtesy of heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, a dejected Tyson said, “I guess I’m going to fade into Bolivian.”

There was also the confusing broken back explanation that he gave to Jim Gray after beating Clifford Etienne: “It’s spinal.”
Tyson just seems to have a way with words—and we love him for it.
