Authorities are asking Canadians to be wary of certain nut, sugar, and tahini products from Montreal-based Vicrossano Inc. that my contain salmonella or other harmful bacteria.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) says the products have been primarily distributed in Ontario and Quebec.

Affected products include certain nut butters, peanuts, sugar, and tahini products under three brand names: Tout Naturel, Yum Nature, and Soeurs en Vrac. Some bulk products including roasted almonds, roasted peanuts, and roasted split peanuts from Vicrossano are also affected.

The CFIA says consumption of the affected products could lead to a wide range of symptoms including vomiting, diarrhea, and fever, among others.

There have so far been no reported illnesses related to the consumption of the products.
