Facebook user Stephen Roseman asked for people to send their prayers to his dog, claiming the animal’s face was horribly burned and disfigured.
He just threw a big slice of ham on the dog’s face, but some people apparently didn’t think he was joking.
This poor dog was badly burned and disfigured trying to save his family from a house fire
One like = one prayer
One share = ten prayers
Roseman was likely making fun of viral posts on Facebook that ask people to do the same for children and animals.
Many people thought it was a funny gesture, but some weren’t impressed or didn’t get the joke.
“What a sweet dog. Unconditional love. Praying for him,” one person said. “Poor poor hero baby! Will he be alright!?” added another.
“Sick of these spam statuses,” one person said, but Roseman replied: “This is to mock those statuses.”
Added another: “Poor dog let him have that ham.”
“It’s not real…….I think this is cruel,” another said.
Many people attacked Roseman for pulling the joke.
“Reading the comments on this post left me feel empty inside. People are insane. How can you get pissed about this, you bunch of [expletive] idiots. Have a sense of humor,” wrote one person.
But on Thursday morning, Roseman replied: “I’m here to say. Your prayers worked miracles, the dog made a full recovery.”
