On June 21, 2007, two policemen in Liaoning, Chaoyang City invaded the home of Falun Gong practitioner, Zhang Yuwen. Zhang was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp even though no official arrest warrant was issued.
At least 670 Falun Gong practitioners from Chaoyang City and its surrounding areas have been jailed or sent to forced labor camps since July 20, 1999.
According to a report on Clearwisdom.net, on May 23, 2007, the city commissioners and other local officials of Chaoyang City jointly issued 290 copies of a classified document entitled “The Guiding Principles of Chaoyang City to Govern Cult such as Falun Gong” to its local government departments. These departments were instructed to gather together and study the document.
For unknown reasons, Masanjia Forced Labor Camp refused to take Zhang. A month later Zhang was officially arrested. The police forced Zhang's family to pay 500 yuan for the expenses incurred in the police's unsuccessful attempt to send Zhang to Masanjia Labor Camp.

Their 12-year-old daughter was orphaned and is being raised by her aunt and uncle.
