A flash flood warning was issued for New York City on Monday at around 1 p.m.

The flash flood warning, which was issued by the National Weather Service, lasts until 3 p.m.

There is a threat of downpours, producing as much as one to two inches per hour.

It said that showers have already started to develop over northern Queens.

Midtown Manhattan and western Queens are the main areas of concern.
