U.S. Rep. Grace Meng, a New York democrat, was attacked and robbed in Washington D.C. on Tuesday night, police said on Wednesday.

Meng was hit over the head near Eastern Market, and her Gucci handbag was stolen, police told WJLA.

Meng, who represents part of Queens, was injured. But it’s not known whether she was taken to the hospital.

A suspect hasn’t been identified; police are investigating.
