After Dennis Rodman, former U.S. NBA basketball player, made a “very risky move” visiting North Korea, and sitting down with Kim Jong Un, the country’s communist leader, he is now in Rome hoping to meet the next pope.

According to Shaquille O’Neal, a retired NBA basketball player and one of the National Basketball Association’s 50 greatest players, Rodman’s visit to North Korea was very risky.
“I think we as people should understand our roles in life. And I think certain people should leave diplomacy to diplomats,” O’Neal said during an interview on CBS This Morning.
Rodman, who is on a professed worldwide peace and love tour, is now in Vatican City on a trip sponsored by Paddy Power, an Irish gambling company.
While in Vatican City, Rodman was photographed wearing a hat and t-shirt with the company’s name. Bets on who the next pope are supported on the companies’ website—they asked Rodman to promote the betting site.
“I want to spread a message of peace and love throughout the world,” Rodman said, according to Paddy Power.
According to the companies website, it spent a lot of money to send Rodman to Rome as the next pope is decided on. But they hope to get the bill paid through new accounts.
