The Commonwealth Games kicked off their opening ceremony on Sunday night in Delhi, India. Seventy-one nations around the world participated in the Games and their representatives paraded around the packed Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Indian President Pratibha Patil and Prince Charles spoke at the event.
The event's preparation was met with its share of setbacks, including allegations of corrpution and building safety concerns.
