Three people were killed and four others injured after a gunman opened fire at a spa in Brookfield, Wis., Sunday.
The shooter was identified as Radcliffe F. Haughton, 45, reported the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The shooting took place at a hair salon and spa near a mall.
Hours after the incident, police told The Associated Press that Haughton was found dead, but they did not elaborate where. His father, Radcliffe Haughton Sr., said that his son had talked to him several days before, but he said that there was nothing out of the ordinary.
Authorities also “identified what is being described as an improvised explosive device” in the salon, said Thomas Ahern of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, according to CNN.
A witness, David Gosh, told the Journal Sentinel that he saw a woman run from the spa into traffic.
“She ran right out into the street was pounding on cars,” he said.
Seconds later, a man with a handgun came out of the salon and appeared to be chasing the woman.
