COOKIES FOR A CAUSE: Television chef Sandra Lee was at Grand Central Terminal on Tuesday selling baked goods to raise $50,000 for the Food Bank of New York City.
Pyrex sponsored the event. Lee secured the services of 30 area restaurants and bakeries in Vanderbilt Hall to aid in the cause. She will also contribute 50 percent of the proceeds from her new cookbook, Sandra Lee Bake Sale Cookbook, to Feeding America, a domestic hunger-relief charity, and Share Our Strength: No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit group devoted to ending childhood hunger in America.
