NEW YORK—The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) is calling for friends and family to submit photos of the more than 58,000 men and women commemorated by The Wall at the Fund’s education center.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg submitted a photo on Tuesday of his college classmate who was killed in the Vietnam War. He brought the photo to the intersection of Broadway and 43rd, where vets and others gathered to honor those who fought in Vietnam.

The photos will be on display with the names on The Wall at the VVMF Education Center. The photos will also be online, on a virtual commemorative wall for those who perished in Vietnam.
