alun Dafa practitioners descended in the thousands upon Manhattan, New York, taking a colorful parade through Chinatown and demonstrating the Falun Gong practice in a large-scale exercise demonstration at Times Square. The Sept. 4 events took place a day before the group's annual Falun Dafa experience-sharing conference in New York, which is expected to host around 7,000 participants. Containing a set of five exercises, Falun Gong is a holistic mind-body meditation practice based on the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance.
