NEW YORK—With the Westminster Dog Show in town earlier this week, New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) decided to tally up some pet stats for the city. It took census data on pet ownership demographic factors such as income, household size, and race, and applied it to the city’s neighborhoods.
Staten Island and Central Park are pet-owner magnets, according to a map released by NYCEDC.
