NEW YORK—On December 19, heavy snow mixed with rain started falling in the New York area. Despite the weather, Falun Gong practitioners continued to distribute newspapers and other materials detailing the persecution of Falun Gong in China to passersby at five Quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Service Centers in Flushing.

“You are really great,” expressed an elderly man at a Quit the CCP Service Center located in the city’s Huangjin Shopping Center. “Even under such lousy weather, you still hold a booth here to distribute newspapers, yet you earn no money for doing so. Everyone can tell that you are good people.”

But Falun Gong doesn’t just receive well-wishers. Ms Wu at the Quit the CCP Service Center located at the Huangjin Shopping Center said that they are still occasionally insulted by pro-Communist Party individuals. But Wu says they always go away disappointed when she tells them, “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness, benevolence and forbearance are good. Falun Dafa is the upright Fa.”

One of these practitioners, Ms. Zhao, said that she had distributed dozens of flyers near the subway this morning. When asked if it was difficult to do so under these weather conditions, she smiled and said, “It is okay. I haven’t seen such heavy snow in years, I am very happy.”
