Florida’s Extended Benefit period ended on June 5, but a federal law that passed on July 22 authorized Floridians to continue receiving Extended Benefit until Dec. 4.
The Extended Benefits program assists in providing up to 20 weeks of additional benefits to unemployed individuals who qualify.
Customers will be required to certify their eligibility for every week of potential payment.
They can file claims at http://www2.myflorida.com/flccid/ .
The Agency for Workforce Innovation will process and enter claims for customers whose benefits lapsed into the system incrementally. This system is updated every night.
Those who think they are eligible can check their claims’ status on www.floridajobs.org or by calling 800-204-2418.
