Chelsea Clinton Apartment: Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton has reportedly bought a Manhattan apartment worth $10.5 million, with views of Madison Square Park.
Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton recently purchased a $10.5 million apartment in Manhattan near Madison Square Park, it was reported Thursday.
The New York Post is reporting that her 5,000-square foot apartment is located at The Whitman. Sales for the four-bedroom and 6.5-bathroom home closed in February.
A week ago, former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton toured the apartment, the paper reported, while adding that the former president posed with construction workers for photos.
A source, who was not named, told that Clinton and husband Marc Mezvinsky will “live in the neighborhood and found the building on their own while out walking,” according to the Post.
“It’s great for them, because it is in a hot neighborhood and it is very private. There aren’t hundreds of neighbors, and there is great security,” the source continued.
The Flatiron District home also includes views of Madison Square Park, located just across the street from the iconic Flatiron Building. The master bathroom also is made out of Italian marble.
Clinton has lived in an apartment on Grand Madison on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. It was reported in 2010 that Mezvinsky, a former investment banker and a current hedge fund manager, purchased the unit for $4 million.
