Peter Asumani of Lincoln, Neb., said he gave his father, Bienvenu Asumani, 45, liquids and fed him, authorities told The Associated Press. When the younger Asumani did not show up for school for four days, the boy’s principal called the home and then sent an investigator to look for him.

Russ Reno, a Nebraska Health and Human Services Department spokesman, told AP that the boy was in foster care on Monday, but did not elaborate
