NEW YORK—Power to the Metro-North New Haven train line has been restored on Friday, said Con Edison.
“Work completed re-energizing feeder line to Metro North New Haven. MNRR to announce service plans later today,” wrote the Connecticut Post on Friday on its Twitter.
The LoHud.com news site reported that the utility connected a 138,000-volt feeder cable to the station in Mount Vernon.
However, it doesn’t mean that full train service has been restored.
Metro-North officials said that the line will have to be tested first.
