Ann Romney blames the media and her husband’s campaign for not letting Mitt be Mitt.

In the first post-election interview given by the couple, aired on Fox News on Sunday, Romney said: “I’m like a she-lion when it comes to defending Mitt. I know his heart, I know his possibilities.”

“I’m happy to blame the media,” Romney said. “The thing that was frustrating to me, is that people didn’t really get to know Mitt for who he was.”

Media reports had zeroed in on a conflict between Romney and her husband’s campaign managers last year, when she had similarly criticized them for holding the reigns too tight on Mitt’s public image.

She also said in the Fox News interview that she did not think President Barack Obama’s campaign was fair in its portrayal of her husband. Fox’s Chris Wallace asked Romney whether the view that she and her husband were just too rich to understand the average American had any clout.

“That’s a reality that you can’t change, we are who we are,” said Romney.

Mitt Romney said Obama had an advantage as the incumbent. Obamacare was popular among a large segment of voters, Romney said, commenting on an earlier statement about Obama being able to essentially buy votes through the allocation of government funds.

What is so funny, is that Ann Romney just does’t get it. If she would come down from her high perch for just a slight moment, she might understand what us “common” people think and believe. She like her old man just keep walking around with their blinders on! Mitt may be coming around a slight bit. Poor Ann, jump out of your Gopher Hole and smell the garbage!
