A Pennsylvania man is facing charges after he allegedly shot and killed a deer in a Walmart parking lot, it was reported.

Arcangelo Bianco Jr., 40, killed a white-tailed deer with a handgun at point blank range in Burrell Township, reported the Indiana Gazette. He later bagged the animal after that.

The shooting took place last November. Bianco does not face charges for hunting a deer out of season.

“Obviously, we can’t have someone running through a Walmart parking lot shooting at a deer,” Jack Lucas, the wildlife conservation officer who looked into the shooting and filed the paperwork, told the Gazette.

Bianco reportedly spotted the deer in the afternoon as it ran through the parking lot. When the deer ran around the corner, Bianco got out and “began firing multiple rounds at the deer,” Lucas added, according to CBS News.

He then took the dead deer to a meat processor to butcher it.

CBS reported that Bianco faces reckless endangerment charges and some hunting violations, including hunting without a license, and other charges.

A hearing for Bianco’s case is slated for May 1.

Lucas added that the buck apparently was one of the nicest that was taken in the country in recent years.
