Adele book deal rumor:  British singer Adele has reportedly turned down a seven-figure book deal to write her autobiography.

The Daily Mirror reported Wednesday that the 24-year-old singer, who has an Oscar and nine Grammys to her name, has been approached by a number of book publishers over her autobiography.

“Adele’s never been a really showy person,” a source told the paper. “So it was always going to take a lot to get her to write her life story anyway.

The source added that she is “far too young” to be involved in a book deal.

“But even though she received a lucrative offer, her primary concern was that she doesn’t want to write a book about just 24 years. She feels she’d rather wait until she has more life experience to write about,” the source said.

There were also reports this week that Adele, who is reportedly worth around $46 million, is planning a secret 1950s-theme wedding.

“It’s been one of the best years of Adele’s life and to get married is the most amazing way to round it off. She’s never been so in love,” a friend, who was not named, told The Metro.

Another source told Heat magazine that she plans to have the wedding at a local church “in a small village near their home in Sussex.” The source added, “The reception will be just at their house – it’s all very low key. Even the menu won’t be fussy – Adele likes good home-cooked food.”
