Tim Tebow got his first taste of the NFL on Sunday night.

In the final play of the game the Denver Broncos quarterback ran in his first touchdown in the NFL, during a preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Tebow, a University of Florida standout, got into the end-zone on the ground by slamming in between two defenders—something he spent much of his college career doing.

However, the Broncos lost 33-24 against the Bengals despite the last-second heroics.

Tebow, while it is unclear how much playing time he will see this season this season, completed 8 of 13 passes for 105 yards and no interceptions.

As he stepped on the field, he received an emphatic series of boos from the crowd, but he said it didn't affect him. "Yeah, I heard it," he told NFL.com. "It got me more excited to go out there and play."

He was able to evade sacks several times and looked poised in the pocket.

Tebow nearly lost a fumble which the Bengals could have run back for a touchdown. However, Denver coach Josh McDaniels challenged the fumble and the referees found that Tebow's arm has been going forward.

"It was one of those things where you knew he was going to score on the last play of the game, either run it in or throw it in there," Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer told NFL.com. "He's such a competitor. I've been a big fan of his ever since he started at Florida. He's one of the greatest college football players."

Second-string quarterback Brady Quinn looked anemic throughout the entire game, only completing 6 for 16 passes for 68 yards and one interception, which was returned for a touchdown.

Starting quarterback Kyle Orton continued on with his success in the pre-season, completing 8 of his 13 passes for 84 yards and two touchdowns.
