Percy Harvin collapsed on the field during the Minnesota Vikings practice and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance on Thursday.

Reports say that Harvin, a frequent migraine sufferer, experienced a massive migraine during the practice and spent the rest of the day at the hospital.

Coach Brad Childress went to the hospital to visit his team's number one wide receiver. This was the first day Harvin had returned to practice after being out for two weeks.

“Percy appreciates everyone’s concern,” Childress said on the Vikings' website. “He is alert and resting comfortably, but will remain in the hospital overnight.”

During a special teams drill, Harvin, 22, looked up into the sky, which triggered the incident. Teammates and spectators saw that he collapsed on the field and was shaking, and medical personnel treated him soon after.

"To see a guy go down, it's never a good thing," Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards told the Associated Press. "Just pray that the Lord is with him and he gets back to us safely, and to his family most importantly."

Childress told reporters that he didn't say that it was a seizure or anything of that magnitude. “Not really a seizure, but he had some trouble over here,” he said. “I'd be remiss if I tried to qualify it one way or another. It seemed like he was stable."

In his first season last year, Harvin was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and was selected to the Pro Bowl.

In his lone season at the with the Minnesota Vikings, the standout wide receiver caught 60 passes for 790 yards and 6 touchdowns. He also returned two kickoffs for touchdowns.
