RALEIGH, N.C. —An evening at Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts Memorial Auditorium on Jan. 19 was Steve Fordham’s Christmas present from his wife, Cindy.
“I really enjoy it … It’s lovely,” said Mrs. Fordham. She said the costumes were beautiful and the dancers were very precise.
Mrs. Fordham is a technology teacher at Ravenscroft School, a college preparatory school in Raleigh. Tech4Learning named her an ‘Innovative Educator.’ Mr. Fordham owns a local restaurant.
As a technology teacher, Mrs. Fordham was pleased by Shen Yun’s digital backdrops. “Using the technology with the backdrop—it’s very nice, it’s different,” she said.
“Shen Yun’s digital-backdrop team creates vividly animated settings, extending the stage and transporting the audience to a world where heaven and earth are one,” according to the company’s website.
Mr. Fordham said Shen Yun is fantastic and he was deeply touched the Shen Yun vocalists. “Very beautiful voices, too, singing.”
