CHARLOTTE, N.C—Jeff Pintea and Sherry Pintea attended Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Charlotte Knight Theater on Jan. 26. Mr. Pintea is a dairy manager, and Mrs. Pintea works in IT.
“Oh, it was so colorful and expansive,” Mrs. Pintea, said, trying to find the right words. “It’s just so awesome and we loved it,” she said. Mrs. Pintea was especially moved by Shen Yun’s colors.
Based in New York, Shen Yun presents 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture through classical Chinese music and dance.
Mrs. Pintea was very uplifted by Shen Yun. She said it was beautiful and energetic. “Just beautiful,” she said.
Mr. Pintea was touched by the ancient Chinese culture and thought that he had an entire view into the 5,000-year-old culture.
“I liked that,” Mrs. Pintea said. Her husband said the traditional Chinese culture presented in Shen Yun is very good.
‘It was really fun’

Polly Mitchell, her husband, and her dad visiting from South Dakota, also attended Shen Yun Performing Arts on Jan. 26.
Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell are the owners of a Primrose preschool in N.C. Mrs. Primrose said that Shen Yun was beautiful and the dance and costumes were absolutely gorgeous.
“It was really fun to the see the culture,” she said.
Shen Yun was established in 2006 by a group of classical Chinese artists with the desire to revive the divinely inspired culture, which was almost lost at the hands of the communist regime.
Mrs. Mitchell said that they enjoyed the digital projections and every image on the backdrop. The Shen Yun dancers struck Mr. Mitchell, and how they “just absolutely floated across the stage—it was beautiful, very pretty,” she said.
Mrs. Mitchell said that at school she focuses a lot on culture diversity and character development and she said that it is worth their time to look at other cultures and the beauty that is found there.
