VANCOUVER, Canada—Peter Pratt, an architect, praised both the use of colour and the dancers in the Shen Yun Performing Arts show he attended at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Saturday evening.
“I like the use of the colour, and it’s totally synchronized. It’s amazing—it’s really quite amazing,” Mr. Pratt said.
Mr. Pratt’s son, Spencer, was also impressed with the performance.
“It was so flamboyant and it flows very well; it’s synchronized,” he said.
One of the unique aspects of Shen Yun is its use of a live orchestra that combines classical Western instruments with traditional Chinese instruments, achieving a masterful fusion.
Spencer said he enjoyed the music, as well as the performance of the vocalists.
Mr. Pratt said he liked all the pieces in Shen Yun.
“Looking forward to the next half,” he said during the intermission.
