CINCINNATI—“It’s just amazing! The athleticism, the scenery, the costumes, everything!” exclaimed Dave Kramer, Corporate Development and Marketing representative at CET public television, after attending the Feb. 7 evening performance of Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Aronoff Center for the Arts.
Mr. Kramer was thoroughly impressed by all aspects of Shen Yun and said, “Oh it’s just an amazing performance all the way around. Every aspect of it. I mean the costumes are amazing, it is just really well done.”
New York based Shen Yun aims to revive 5,000 years of divinely inspired civilization, by bringing traditional Chinese music and dance to the world. According to the Shen Yun Website, “Classical Chinese dance has a long history of thousands of years, passed down continuously within the imperial palace and ancient Chinese theater and opera.”
As a history buff, Mr. Kramer said he appreciated seeing the stories from the various Chinese dynasties, and China’s long history. “The stories are great. There is something for everyone, there are stories, there is history, there are stories that kids can appreciate too, that they can enjoy. And the monks are always fun. And also just the dance movements, again something that diverse audiences will find appealing.”
