TAIPEI, Taiwan—Tsai Fu-Chiang, the president of Tsai Fu-Chiang Law Firm, watched Shen Yun Performing Arts on the evening of Feb. 22 at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei. He said watching Shen Yun has a great effect on mind purification: “I felt Shen Yun is pure and fresh. It has the power to tranquilize mind and has an inspiring effect.” He was deeply impressed by the scene of the last dance piece in which the appearance of the Savior brings light and hope to the world’s people.
Mr. Tsai noted that 5,000 years of civilization is a magnificent Chinese treasure and that the traditional dance pieces representing the Han and Tang dynasties revive and inherit intrinsic Chinese culture. “The dance and the inner meaning of the program are so wonderful.”
As to the combination of dynamic backdrops, dance performances, and a full orchestra, Mr. Tsai expressed in admiration that it’s his first time seeing such a creative performance. He said it was innovative that the characters came out from the backdrops and became real people performing on the stage. He praised the solo vocalists, who have superb techniques as well.
“The dance performances were brilliant, and the melody of music was beautiful,” Mr. Tsai praised. “It is attractive to demonstrate Chinese culture in such an art form.”
Mr. Tsai was moved by the piece in which the Falun Dafa practitioners held fast to their belief, even while suffering from persecution. He mentioned that Jesus in Christianity also suffered and that freedom of religion is often suppressed in a country where law and order are neglected, but that Falun Gong practitioners in China have been very brave as well.
