LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Shen Yun Performing Arts, the world’s premier classical Chinese dance and music company, returns to Kentucky to delight audiences at The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, Whitney Hall, Tuesday, April 30.
Wherever Shen Yun performs, dignitaries honor the New-York based company with greetings and letters of welcome, to congratulate and praise it.
In his welcome letter, Kentucky Governor Steven Beshear said, “On behalf of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, I would like to welcome you. We are proud to host in the River City this prestigious program of Chinese grace, wisdom, and the virtues of Chinese civilization.”
Governor Beshear expressed his pleasure that Shen Yun is restoring a lost treasure, 5,000 years of divinely inspired civilization, and said that, “I am certain that everyone in attendance will enjoy this splendid celebration of Chinese heritage and culture.”
Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer noted the enthusiastic reception the world-renowned company receives wherever it performs and said in his greeting letter, “Shen Yun Performing Arts has earned a reputation for presenting the very best of traditional Chinese culture. As Mayor, it is my pleasure to welcome you. This spectacular cultural event has dazzled live audiences all over the world, and we are delighted they have returned to Louisville once more!”
United States Senator Mitch McConnell has previously sent greetings to the company and said, “I know that tonight’s program will be memorable for all in attendance.”
Noting the depth of the performances the Senate Republican Leader said, “The Shen Yun performance brings a vibrant demonstration of Chinese culture and art to our great Commonwealth.
