TAIPEI, Taiwan—The world renowned Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company brought a multifaceted art feast to the capital city of Taiwan. On Feb. 21, 2013, Chu Hui-Chi, owner of Yuanmingyuan Clothing and Jewelry Store, watched Shen Yun’s second performance in Taipei. She admired the absolute beauty presented by the artists, which inspired her sense of beauty with the matching clothes and accessories.
“Every detail is given meticulous attention and is a result of artistic inspiration and careful polishing. The designers stress harmonic balance and contrast,” Shen Yun’s website notes.
Ms. Chu talked the overall feeling she had about the performance: “I felt like I have returned to heaven. I did not think it was possible to see this kind of visual effect in real life. It must be a realization of someone who once traveled to a different dimension in his dream. The program The Emperor Journeys to the Moon was stunning.”
Every set of the clothes and shoes and the way they were matched to present the ultimate harmony of colors and texture made great impression on Ms. Chu. “No wonder the general director and clothing designer of Dae Jang-Geum (Jewel in the Palace, a famous Korean TV series) loved it!”
The short-stepped walking style of the female artists, the moving silk sleeves as smooth as water flow, the superb dancing skills and the flexibility of the male artists, and the drama overwhelmed Ms. Chu. She said, “The combination was so cleverly done! We are enjoying the visual effects that once only belonged to an emperor. I imagined that it must have been that way in the palace!”
Ms. Chu finally said, “Even the style of the shoes matched the overall choreography. The kind of visual effect is just heavenly. I enjoyed it very much.
“The beauty does not just manifest in the atmosphere, visually, and acoustically. The beauty is everywhere and absolutely exquisite!”
