ESCONDIDO, Calif.—Shen Yun Performing Arts once again played before a warm group of dance, musical and cultural enthusiasts at the Center for the Arts in Escondido, California.
Shen Yun Performing Arts Company is dedicated to the revitalization of China’s ancient culture through the performing arts; dance, music and song. Myths and legends of 5,000 years of history come alive on stage.
Enjoying the evening’s performance was Edwin Rendon arts writer for Giving Back magazine. “It was my first time seeing Shen Yun.” Giving Back Magazine is the region’s most prestigious monthly bi-lingual publication that features charitable organizations, arts, culture and more.
Based out of New York, Shen Yun has three dance companies that travel world-wide. Comprised of internationally acclaimed dancers, musicians and singers who have dedicated their lives and their talent to reviving China’s lost culture.
“Every moment was very inspiring I understand what’s happening in China … and I love everything that Shen Yun is doing—to bring out all this history that’s been kept secret from the world. It’s fantastic that it’s out in the public and here in San Diego.
“It was a privilege to make it here and to see everything … fantastic! The visuals were stunning. The colors of the wardrobe were just superb. I know what dedication that goes into it from what I been reading and researching … .”
The stories told during the evening’s performance inspired Mr. Rendon to say, “The thing that I take back home is that I’ve got to get back to my meditation.”
