Freedom of religion, the freedom of speech and the right to vote are anathema to communist societies, (which the last time I checked the People’s Republic of China still was), yet they are supposed to be the backbone of ours. Why do we negotiate with the PRC?

World governments have given the PRC entrance into the WTO and awarded them with the Olympics. So, what does the government of the PRC do in return? Open fire on Tibetans in Lhasa. Enough! This is the second time Hu Jintao has opened fire on unarmed Tibetans by the way.

As the protesters get beaten, and god knows what, can we all finally say “enough”?

Tibet, Darfur, Burma, live organ harvesting, environmental devastation, and an endless list of atrocities from the Chinese Communist Party. Are those the attributes we reward? NO!

Remember this from WWII: “First they came for my neighbor, and I did nothing, then they came for my brother and I did nothing and then they came for me.” The PRC isn’t only a problem for Tibet.

Tibetans in Lhasa are risking their lives in the protests we saw on the news. I can’t help to feel though that they are fighting for the freedom of people everywhere.
