In 1939, the United Kingdom’s Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain was duped into claiming peace with Germany, while Winston Churchill despaired. Today, in 2012, Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper is similarly being duped and fails to take a stand that Canadian disintegration is not an option.

It is time to finally bury James Whitney, once and for all, along with the resentments his 1912 Regulation 17 caused across Canada.

In 1912, James Whitney, Premier of Ontario, initiated his illegal Regulation 17 that said: “No French in Ontario.” In 2012, the Premier of Quebec, Pauline Marois repeats History in reverse and says: “No English in Quebec.” This is no longer just a French/English language issue now but the survival of the greatest country on Earth in a very dangerous world. Every Canadian has a stake in holding Canada together.

It is time to finally bury James Whitney, once and for all, along with the resentments his 1912 Regulation 17 caused across Canada for the last 100 years. Ontario Premier James Whitney was the instigator of all the language problems in Canada and this mistake must not be allowed to be repeated by the Premiere of Quebec in 2012.

There is no problem that cannot be better resolved within a united Canada than in a fractured group of smaller, weaker remnants of our past. Canada is priceless and must be kept together for future generations; and to survive we will need to kiss and make up. We owe this to the thousands of French- and English-language veterans who fought side-by-side and died for the freedoms we enjoy.

This Remembrance Day shake the hand of your fellow-countrymen while you still can. One James Whitney was enough—Canadians cannot allow another to destroy this great country. In 1939, UK PM Neville Chamberlain underestimated the threat. In 2012, Canadians must not allow Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper, mesmerized, confused, and mystified though he may be, to dangerously placate instead of lead, while Canada falls apart. There is only one united Canada.

Unless the direction Quebec’s Premier Marois is steering Quebec and Canada is promptly and effectively reversed, and Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper takes a clear public stand unequivocally for a united Canada, and challenges Marois’ unacceptable international proclamations of Quebec as a Sovereign Nation, Canada is doomed, inevitably, to becoming unravelled as the greatest country on Earth. Even the very thought of Canada breaking up must forever be out-of-the-question. The seniors across Canada must take charge before it’s too late.
