PASADENA, Calif.—Adults and children were moved by Divine Performing Arts’ second performance of the Chinese New Year Spectacular at the Pasadena Civic on New Year’s Eve. Ms. Rivera, an actress in Los Angeles and Mexico and young friend Heidi thoroughly enjoyed the show due to the emotional connection they felt with the performers.

Ms. Rivera said her favorite dance was “the performance when they lost the father. It was very touching.” Heidi agreed that this was also her favorite part of the show, a dance so moving that, “I cried.”

Ms. Rivera continued, “The other [dances] are so spectacular, you get excited. All these bright colors are so full of life, you feel a part of the show.”

She deeply understood the universality of the show and how stories of virtue in China can encourage people from around the world.

She ended saying, “I recommend the show to people of all different cultures. Every, every culture should go. It’s a beautiful, beautiful show.”
