Shen Yun was a resounding success in Tampa, presenting three sold-out shows at the David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts.
“The music was wonderful, I loved it. I loved the percussionists, off course, because I'm into music. But everyone was good,” DJ Shay said.
Mary Louise Travis, a former ballerina with the New York City Ballet, attended the show with her husband, David, and was touched by the discipline and talent of the performers.
Susan Sisk attended the sold-out Sunday matinee performance of Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company in Tampa.
Tom Zuidema was thrilled to have been able to see Shen Yun and be a part of the excitement: “I thought the show was wonderful."
Mr. Oldanie, a former marine captain who has been a leading realtor in the area for over 20 years, said all aspects of Shen Yun were impressive.
Ms. Longenberger said she became quite emotional during the performance: “I’m so happy I had tears.”
“It was beautiful, very enlightening—knowing that the truth will always prevail,” Mr. Herzfeld said.
Sonnia Hove described the vocal soloists as having “really, really powerful” voices.
“I love the silk sleeves. And the lotus flowers, yeah—beautiful. Absolutely magnificent.”
“The array, one small act to the next, there is a sequence, there is a theme, and it is definitely noticeable,” said Mr. Becker.
“The music is phenomenal,” Mr. Kaltenbaugh said. “The orchestra is exceptional.”
