“It's fun to hear the Chinese instruments with Western orchestral violins and strings,” Blane Bostock said. “They have a very vocal quality to them.”
The Shen Yun Performing Arts Orchestra has surprised musicians around the world with its successful combination of a Western orchestra overlaid with traditional Chinese instruments.
"I just think it is amazing show and I am very happy that is it in Philadelphia," said Ms. Brenda Oeschlager.

For Dr. Andrew Newberg, considered a pioneer in the neuroscientific study of religious and spiritual experiences, seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts was an enriching experience.
"It broadened my horizons. I had no idea about the history of China, about all the dynasties," said Ms. Barbara Rosenau.

City Hall Judge Eugene Maier was moved by the beauty of Shen Yun Performing Arts on Saturday evening at the Merriam Theater.

For David Slocum, one of the founding members of the CNY Ballet Company, Shen Yun was an entirely new experience.
Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage at The Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater on May 12, delighting the audience with a revival of the oldest culture in the world.

Shen Yun Performing Arts presented a revival of the 5,000-year-old Chinese culture at the The Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater Sunday night.

Mrs. Gao deeply appreciated many aspects of the performance. She said "The orchestra was great! The dancing was excellent. The singing was also awesome."
“I loved the dancing. I love the colors,” Dr. Authur Ostrowski said of the May 12 performance of Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company at the Cadillac Palace Theater.
Dr. Robert Gasior was impressed by the opening number, Descending to the World, and said, "It was superb, I thought everything—was quite excellent."
