Mr. Dugstad said he could feel an “incredible tempo” across the entire show.
Mr. Lyngra said he appreciated seeing the lyrics of the vocal performances translated into Norwegian and projected onto the backdrops.
“There was an affinity between the costumes and dances that was exciting,” Birte M. Kittilsen said.

Although it is only Shen Yun's second appearance in the Norwegian capital, the ensemble already has many fans in Oslo.
"It is not possible to explain what I'm feeling now. But really, this show is the tops," said Ms. Kazacenk.
”The dances are very strong dances, very professional,” Ms. Hiley said after watching the show.
“I think they are very skillful. “Very beautifully choreographed,” Hilde Barstad said of the dances.

Mr. Liossis also enjoyed the solo vocalists. "It was very nice. I understood the lyrics on the screen, they were very touching," he said.
For David Slocum, one of the founding members of the CNY Ballet Company, Shen Yun was an entirely new experience.
Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage at The Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater on May 12, delighting the audience with a revival of the oldest culture in the world.

“I think it's wonderful just how 'classic' it is,” said Dr. Scharoun of Shen Yun. “I'm really starting to understand a lot of the history of China through the dance.”
Shen Yun Performing Arts presented a revival of the 5,000-year-old Chinese culture at the The Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater Sunday night.
Ms. Catherine Koch said the singing was “powerful” and said she hadn't heard the style used by Chinese singers before. “That was really awesome,” she said. “I loved it.”
Mrs. Gao deeply appreciated many aspects of the performance. She said "The orchestra was great! The dancing was excellent. The singing was also awesome."
“I loved the dancing. I love the colors,” Dr. Authur Ostrowski said of the May 12 performance of Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company at the Cadillac Palace Theater.
Dr. Robert Gasior was impressed by the opening number, Descending to the World, and said, "It was superb, I thought everything—was quite excellent."
