On a bright Sunday afternoon on March 7, 2010, Shen Yun Performing Arts made its last appearance on this year's European tour in Amsterdam's RAI Theater.
Many were drawn to experience the world-renowned presentation of China's 5,000-year-old culture at RAI Theater.
The audience started with hearty applause for the opening scene and ended with standing ovations for the artists.
Two young Dutch men who heard about the show through their martial arts class attended the performance and were pleasantly surprised with what they saw.
Mr. and Mrs. Pascal Zuidwijk were in attendance tonight. Mr. Zuidwijk thought that Shen Yun would be the perfect gift for his wife's birthday.
“We were positively surprised,” he said. “It's very traditional."
"Fantastic!" was her overall impression of the performance.
"I liked the dancing and it is nice that they explain about the stories beforehand," Hans de Bruin said.
