Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company
For David Slocum, one of the founding members of the CNY Ballet Company, Shen Yun was an entirely new experience.
Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage at The Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater on May 12, delighting the audience with a revival of the oldest culture in the world.
“It lifts my spirit,” Carol Smith said. “I'm absolutely changed by the music.”
“I think it's wonderful just how 'classic' it is,” said Dr. Scharoun of Shen Yun. “I'm really starting to understand a lot of the history of China through the dance.”
Shen Yun Performing Arts presented a revival of the 5,000-year-old Chinese culture at the The Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater Sunday night.
Ms. Catherine Koch said the singing was “powerful” and said she hadn't heard the style used by Chinese singers before. “That was really awesome,” she said. “I loved it.”
Korean War veteran George Covel bought tickets to Shen Yun Performing Arts in February as an early Mother Day’s gift for his wife.
“I’ve never seen anything like this, it’s so beautiful, and the energy they have is really great.”
Mr. Milan Knezevic said. “This is fantastic, probably the best spectacular I have ever seen.”

Ms. Bronsy Tansley said she thought it was wonderful that thousands of years of Chinese culture are being preserved and brought on stage.
