VANCOUVER—Santa Claus arrived early this year to take part in the 22 annual Hyack Christmas Parade of Lights on  December 6 in historical New Westminster, British Columbia, a city Queen Victoria named after her favorite part of London.

As Christmas Day draws ever closer, the jolly holiday atmosphere grows, and there was no shortage of it at the Hyack parade. Santa Claus joined the cheerful crowd, reminding the children of his upcoming arrival on Christmas Eve.
