Around 50 performers from Indonesia arranged this show of musical drama titled “Gado-Gado Jakarta”. The story is about a Japanese tourist who experienced uniqueness in Jakarta when he was traveling there. Accompanied by a coquettish travel guide, this Japanese tourist, named Suzuki San, finally really fell in love with Jakarta culture and he even had a chance to sing a popular Indonesian folk song, “Kopi Dangdut”.
This show lasted for 2 hours, also featuring Japanese dance and song performed by Indonesian performer. This Jakarta-Tokyo culture festival is expected to deepen relationship between Indonesia and Japan.
This important event is held as a symbol of friendship, to deepen relationship between Indonesia and Japan.
Celebration of 50 years Indonesia-Japan relationship has received warm greetings from each country. In Indonesia, the opening of this celebration was held on January 2008 by President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Prince Akishino of Japan, followed by around 250 different events to celebrate this occasion.
