A chance meeting of Peter Hutchinson and Ben Croker over two years ago has led to a website launch of Eurolanguages.com. The Hostel world of the language travel industry.
No more confusing school sites with no online booking facility, or agencies that charges exorbitant service charges or demands full fees upfront. Students can now find compare and confirm language schools and courses from all over Europe using independent student reviews and ratings as a guide.
Director and co founder Peter Hutchinson remarked on the launch saying, "this really is an exciting day for language travel. We’ve designed a site that cuts out the hassle with booking a language course and in doing so,opened the industry up to many more people.
"No more fruitless searching for schools online, or ineffective night classes, Eurolanguages.com has language holidays for all abilities and all interests.
"They’re not holiday camps for teenagers either. In addition to general language courses, we’ve got courses that combine language study with fun activities for adults like Italian and skiing in the Olympic mountains outside Turin, or Spanish and surfing in Tenerife. We’ve got something for everyone."
The duo, who met at at an Entrepreneurship workshop run by the Enterprise Board, said they were both inspired by the success of Hostelworld.com and what a small Irish start up could achieve.
Peter was working as a marketing director for an English language school in Dublin, and Ben was developing an online revision tool for leaving cert maths students. Peter explains “Essentially, as I saw it, we were trying to solve a similar problem, where fragmented suppliers found it difficult and expensive to source their customers and visa versa."
