Flood damage still plagues residents in Grant County, Wisconsin who are feeling the aftermath of heavy rains over the weekend.

The rains and heavy flash flooding led to evacuations and widespread property damage across the county, WISC-TV reported.

The county’s damage assessment is ongoing.

"Just from the townships we've had report in, we're looking at about $600,000 in damage to infrastructure at this point," Steve Braun, emergency management director for Grant County, told WISC-TV.

Residents near the town of Potosi, Wisc. were evacuated early Saturday morning, and several of the county’s roads and bridges were washed out or severely compromised.

After damage is fully assessed, county officials will likely seek state or federal disaster relief.
