Straphangers who use the 6 train in the Bronx will experience delays in their travel over the next few months. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority closed the stations on Morrison Avenue-Soundview and Whitlock Avenue.

Both stations are expected to reopen sometime in September, according to the MTA's Web site. To alleviate some of the problems for commuters, subway riders will get a free transfer to the BX4 bus, which will take them to the Simpson Street Station.
