Thank you very much for the invitation to attend The Epoch Times Washington D.C. 9th Year Anniversary Gala. I regret that I am unable to attend this year’s event.
For nine years now, The Epoch Times has served my office as a trusted news outlet for People’s Republic of China affairs. With its insider perspective on Asian politics, combined with a dedication to promoting ideals of individual liberty, democracy, and humanitarianism, The Epoch Times has become an invaluable source for political leaders of the Western World.
As China continues its pursuit of global prominence, it is increasingly important that the rest of the developed world be provided clear access to its humanitarian and sovereignty endeavors. China’s state-run news agency has not yet reached acceptable standards of transparency. Consequently, that very important task falls to publications such as the Epoch Times.
Again, thank you for the invitation, and I look forward to reading The Epoch Times for years to come.
